iT'S STARTING TO SOUND REALLY GOOD
Hi, this is an on the spot report with Nanook of North East Nevada, I say that because of the snow and ice outside. I thought I might tell you a funny story about the station, after pulling plugs out and closing down my station in frustration about the 60 hrtz hum/buzz that went out with my live portion of the station, I rebuilt it back better! Seems the buzz is gone from the system, it was settings in the computer that had changed, everything sort of got changed around, and as it turned out, I was on the air without turning my 'On Air" button on, it goes straight through now. Which sounds great on the air, no feedback, but I didn't know I was on the air and had left my mic pot up and didn't know my microphone was live all night, and morning, till I listened to my station on my phone and heard myself cough, haha. That's what it's like growing up in a radio station, you're always on the air, also, after using this board for so long, I found it needs a couple hours to warm up, till is stops making crackling noises, it's old and crotchety, kind of like how I am getting. So, where I was getting at, is that I always leave the board turned on, now, I never turn it off, and let it get cold. It is pretty cold here this time of year. Oh, yes, so it is starting to sound really good.
